Mike started his legal career as a litigator in the Miami office of Floyd Pearson. In 1990, Mike relocated to New York City and joined Herzfeld & Rubin, where he gained valuable trial experience in the fields of premises liability, product liability, Labor Law, trucking/auto and construction defect. In 1997, Mike was asked to join Lustig & Brown to manage their general liability practice group in New York City. In 2009, Mike moved his practice to Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak where he opened and managed their New York City office. Throughout his career, Mike has focused on defending against personal injury and property damage claims.EDUCATION

Tom has been litigating cases in New York City on behalf of insurance companies since he graduated from law school in 1998. He started his career at the biggest insurance defense firm in NYC where he gained valuable experience in the proper handling and defense of a claim. He left the large office environment to develop a more balanced and personal approach to litigation. He devotes his practice to the defense of claims alleging premises liability, sports related accidents, wrongful death, auto & trucking, property damage and construction defect. Tom regularly appears in all Courts in the New York City metropolitan area, including trials and appeals. Tom is an experienced litigator who uses his knowledge to accurately evaluate cases by assessing liability and damage exposure, allowing his clients to make informed decisions on whether to resolve cases at an early juncture or to proceed with litigation. As a senior trial attorney at a major insurance company for over twelve years, Deb has successfully conducted numerous jury and non-jury trials, summary jury trials, arbitrations, mediations and inquests. Marc Ackerman

Marc Ackerman has worked for defense firms in New York and New Jersey since 1997, handling all aspects of cases in matters of premises liability, motor vehicles, products liability and property damage. He also has extensive experience in defending claims under New York Labor Law §§240(1), 200 and 241(6), representing general contractors and trades in construction personal injury actions, as well as construction matters in New Jersey. Marc served as the principal attorney for all New Jersey cases at the New York based firms where he previously worked.
